I spoke with an Iconoclast
I thought there was an oddity about him, and always felt uncomfortable when we sat next to each other. i usually try to steer clear of him…but today the inevitable happened. i was trying sooo hard to avoid conversation.….of all days to assign group work!!!
He was actually intriguing……i had no idea what an iconoclast was. His knowledge of the Bible astounded me. He was heady about it though and a somewhat haughty. i reminded him that knowing God is a matter of the heart…not the mind. i could tell he did not agree, but was trying to show a mark of maturity by “agreeing to disagree”. i told him that he reminded me of Elihu in Job, and to be careful with all the knowledge he had attained. At this he smiled…but it was so dark….
My curiosity was peaked i wanted to know more:

ok…so i used another word that i wanted to look up and make sure i used it correctly

i wasn’t sure of the real definition behind this word………….and i was astounded by the definition when i looked it up. it is derived from the word sadism which means:
after his sadistical act yesterday…..he apologized left and right, he kept telling me he loved me, that he wanted to take care of me, that he wanted to grow old with me, that he just wanted to cherish me. I don’t know how much more i can take!!!!!!!!
I don’t NEED any one…no programs….no friends…..no counselors…..no family………i can do this on my OWN!!!! I WALK ALONE!!!!!! I’ve made it this far ALONE…….i will make it………………i will survive!!!!!
NO NEEDS………………..I HATE THIS WORD……………….it coincides with weakness!!!! It is unfortunate that we have needs……it angers me that i HAVE to depend on any one other than myself………because in this life…you can count on literally NO-ONE!!! We all fail………..myself included……………….i guess i have (leave) no room for mistakes & let downs. I’ve tried to live by extremely High standards……………then one day your bubble burst and you realize no one else lives by YOUR standards….everyone has their own rules, and way of life. Maybe this means i am just unadaptable………….maybe it is pride…………….or maybe the core of who i am or who i used to be is just……………….DYING or Fading into nonexistence!!!!
